AJAX Kanji recognition
This is the coolest thing I’ve seen today. Somebody has managed to make a Kanji character recognition application written entirely using AJAX.
If your not an Internet/computer nerd like me, that just means that there’s no bulky annoying plug-ins to install and it runs right in your browser.
Very well done.

The fact that it’s written in AJAX means nothing if it doesn’t work. And because it doesn’t work, well we have precisely nothing here.
I tried it out and it was a complete waste of time. I got maybe one kanji in half a dozen to even appear in the list of candidate kanji that comes up.

I just had visions of the Palm Pre and being able to do a port of King Kanji.

P.S.
Nick I don’t know what you tried but it worked very well for me. Maybe you were doing the strokes in the wrong order because it worked with every single Kanji I gave it.
